Follow on Google News | Groove to Blues, Rock and Funk at the 11th Annual Festival on the BayDance, jam and groove by the bay! The music line-up for Petoskey's 11th Annual Festival on the Bay has just been announced.
By: Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce On Friday, August 17, the entertainment will get started at 5:00 p.m. with Hipps-n-Ricco, the popular northern Michigan “Blues Duo” who put out a lot of great sound. At 6:30 p.m. is Jelly Roll Blues Band, a favorite Northern Michigan band, performing a blend of blues, rock, jazz, and swing. At 8:00 p.m., the Petoskey Steel Drum performance is sponsored by Bank of Northern Michigan. Always a crowd favorite, this will be the group's last performance of the summer and for outgoing seniors. 9:00 p.m. brings The Northern Skies, a Grand Rapids based band that plays Bluegrass, Americana, and Celtic music with a nice indie vibe and energy. At 10:00 p.m., AllenAsTim will perform some country favorites. Allen Scott is a dynamic Tim McGraw Tribute Artist from Detroit and has been performing his tribute to the multi-award winning performer since 2004. On Saturday, August 17 at 12:00 p.m., Charlie Millard, singer and songwriter from Alanson, Michigan, will start things off followed at 1:45 p.m. by Elizabeth Cannon, singer and songwriter from Gaylord, Michigan. At 3:15 p.m., Billy Strings & Don Julin will be delivering their bluegrass music with pedal-to-the- At 4:45 p.m., Under the Bridge, a collaboration of some of the most talented entertainers in Northern Michigan, will perform. Their first CD was released on May 26, 2013 at City Park Grill. 6:30 p.m. brings Blue Molly, four-time WYCE-FM Jammies Award-winning band playing an eclectic and energetic mix of everything from blues to R&B, rock and roll, jazz, and soul! Be sure to catch Ben Overbeek & Tragek Mix at 8:15 p.m. This jazz and funk infused band from Petoskey was the winner of the “Fight for the Festival” At 10:00 p.m., Funktion takes the stage. From silky smooth R&B to cool island dub rhythms to rowdy hip-hop, Funktion will make you want to move! The Entertainment Tent will be located in the Ed White Ballfield, and beer, wine, pop and water will be available for purchase. Buttons are on sale at the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce office for $5 and provide weekend-long admission to the Entertainment Tent.
