This Washington insider will speak on current hot topics such as immigration, tax reform, and emerging candidates for the 2016 election.

s observations will offer an inside look at what is really going on in Washington. The festivities start at 6:00 p.m. with a general reception. Margaret Carlson is the Washington editor of THE WEEK
and a political columnist for Bloomberg News. In 1988, Carlson joined TIME
) and served as White House correspondent and deputy Washington bureau chief. From 1994 to 2005, she wrote the “Public Eye” column for TIME

and for 15 years, served as a panelist weekly on The Capital Gang.
Her journalism career has also included stints as managing editor at The New Republic
