Frank Sinatra at the Clinton Township Mirage Banquet Hall in November Was No Illusion

Award winning impersonator of Sinatra Tribute artists, Michael Caluccio kept the packed house at the Optimists annual Taste Fest guessing.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - July 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Macomb County, MI – Over 600 patrons of the Optimist Clubs of Macomb County jammed the annual fund raiser event at the Mirage Hall last month to sample area restaurants’ favorite entrees and to listen to the best talent in Michigan.

Invited back from last year’s event, Michael Carluccio wowed the generous audience as he summoned his inner Sinatra with his most memorable hits.  The crowd’s favorite Sinatra songs just happened to be Carluccio’s favorites also, especially the tunes from the 60’s and 70’s such as the Rat Pack numbers. Released in August 1965 was the Grammy Award–winning album of the year, September of My Years, containing the single "It Was A Very Good Year", which won the Grammy Award for Best Vocal Performance, Male in 1966.

Other Frank Sinatra hits followed in Carluccio’s repertoire like That’s Life, Strangers in the Night, My Way and to the roaring crowd’s delight, New York, New York.

Carluccio’s entertainment career parallels Frank Sinatra’s in another outstanding manner as an actor.  Though not as prolific as Sinatra’s film resume, Carluccio has been cast in many feature films.

Sinatra enjoyed a huge film career and began making movies almost as soon as his singing career took off. His most important pictures include The Manchurian Candidate with Angela Lansbury, From Here to Eternity with Burt Lancaster, The Man With the Golden Arm with Arnold Stang, Kings Go Forth with Natalie Wood, Guys and Dolls with Marlon Brando, High Society with Bing Crosby, Pal Joey with Rita Hayworth, Some Came Running with Dean Martin, Never So Few with Steve McQueen, A Hole in the Head with Edward G. Robinson, Meet Danny Wilson, On the Town with Gene Kelly, Robin and the 7 Hoods with Bing Crosby, Ocean's 11 and Sergeants 3 with the Rat Pack (Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop), Step Lively, None But the Brave (directed by Sinatra), The Detective with Lee Remick, Come Blow Your Horn with Lee J. Cobb and Barbara Rush, and The Pride and the Passion starring Cary Grant, among many others spanning most of his lengthy career.

Michael’s next public performance will take place at the Polish Century Club in Troy and treat his audience to a Christmas atmosphere.
