New technologies offer real estate agents the ability to handle complete transactions online or with the use of tablets, or smartphones. This Dashboard allows agents to logon and view all of their daily required activities, necessary sites, tools, marketing, social networking, association, etc, all on one webpage "Dashboard".

Since the real estate market collapse of 2008, the Designated Broker/Owner, Christopher Hanson quickly learned that having a large office for agents to come into was no longer required to run a real estate brokerage. Christopher Hanson has been in the real estate industry over 29 years, and has seen many changes. Prior to the economy crashing in 2008, Christopher had 12 office locations with over 750 agents including five franchises of his previous real estate company. As new technologies came out over the years, it has allowed agents the freedom and flexibility to work from home.

Executive type suites, or "Virtual Offices" give businesses the flexibilty to operate with little overhead, and expenses. These types of locations offer business services at a fraction of the cost, and office space including conference rooms can be rented by the hour or day as needed. Secretarial services can be paid for on an as needed basis.

Prior to 2008, Christopher Hanson was paying over $30,000 per month in rents for just five locations, and is now paying just a fraction of the cost per month for four locations. In addition, with Executive suites, you no longer have to pay for utilities such as electricity, Internet, phones, or even employees to keep the business open.

Christopher Hanson has completely automated his real estate brokerage business model. All of the company training for new and experienced agents is completely online which allows agents to train from home in their spare time, and eliminated the need for trainers or thier salaries. All of Open House Realty's forms are online, New Hire packages are online and completed by email or fax. Even the faxing is now done online with the use of an online faxing system.

Since all of the forms are online, agents now have the ability to complete the forms online, and have their customers or clients sign electronically using an online signing site.

Office phones are now handled by online services such as an online phone system which easily routes customer calls directly to the agents or Broker extensions at a fraction of the cost. No more costly phone systems, or salaries for receptionists.

The one question that comes up is availability of the Broker. Christopher Hanson is available 24/7 by phone, text, or email, and quickly responds to all calls or messages. In fact, when he is on vacation, his phone still rings, and he still gets his emails, but no one realizes he is out of town, except for maybe the noise of the ocean in the background.

Christopher Hanson says that although the thought of having a small office again is enticing, he has learned a valuable lesson with the economy crash of 2008, and having an office these days is just not necessary. He meets most of his agents one on one at a local coffee shop or anywhere there is wifi. Christopher says that after being stuck behind a desk for so many years, it's actually refreshing to have your office anywhere there is wifi.

This is the new business model for real estate brokerages today. Having a large office location with all of the overhead expenses of rents, salaries, and re-occuring monthly expenses is frankly out of date, and out of touch with the reality of today's technology.
