20% Renewable Energy by 2025 in Chile?

July 25, 2013 - PRLog -- (19 July 2013, Santiago) Last month, a committee in Chile’s lower house made changes to a bill calling for a doubling of power coming from “non-conventional” renewable energy (NCRE). The changes, in agreement with the Minister of Energy, Jorge Bunster, who had traditionally opposed the bill come with great interest for the rapidly developing solar and wind industries in Chile which have begun to make significant headway in recent months.

Addressing an audience of 500+ senior executives from businesses looking to deploy solar and wind projects and technologies in the market, Jorge Bunster will deliver an opening address at the 2^nd Annual Chilean International Renewable Energy Congress (http://www.CIREC2013.com) on 10 September in Santiago presenting the proposed revisions.

His first public address in front of the renewable sector since the announcement, Jorge Bunster will be joined by Carlos Barria, Head of the Ministry’s renewable division, CORFO and key renewable and mining associations to discuss the impact this will have on the Chilean market and timelines for further deployment.
