Stunt Show Excitement Starts Saturday Night Excitement at Bloomsburg

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - July 25, 2013 - PRLog -- When the date was announced for the 2013 Bloomsburg Nationals powered by Carlisle Events, thoughts immediately turned to two aspects of the weekend: 1) what type of collector cars would adorn the showfield and invitational displays and 2) what would the onsite entertainment be.  Both questions have firmly been answered and this year's event, August 9-11 at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds, will see nearly 1,000 show worthy gems that span automotive history.  Vehicles will include cars, trucks motorcycles and anything else possible that has wheels and an engine.  In addition, the onsite fun includes live music and just announced, thrilling stunt show fun Saturday evening.

The stunt show excitement comes via Tonny Petersen's Hell Drivers and will be showcased Saturday evening at 6 p.m. (rain date Sunday at 3 p.m.) in front of the main grandstand and stage.  The stunt show will take place just after the burnout competition and serve as a lead in for the live music on the main grounds and the Quaker Steak & Lube stage.  As part the stunt show fun, the Hell Riders will utilize some uniquely equipped vehicles to display their amazing drivers' ability as they pull off unbelievable stunts.  Witness Tonny Petersen balance and race a pickup truck on only two wheels, see a daredevil clown play target to stuntmen in speeding cars and more.  Lead by Petersen, a legendary stunt driver and thrill show personality, the show celebrates and recreates the most famous stunts performed for the silver screens of Hollywood.  Drivers on the team include some of the world’s best known names in stunt driving, including Petersen, Johnny Wisner, Jim “Crash” Moreau and Justin Bellinger.  Combined, these drivers bring over 100 years of thrills and experience to Bloomsburg.

In addition to the stunt show, live music comes from Flamin’ Dick and the Hot Rods.  Overall, the weekend features cars, trucks and bikes of all makes, models, style and era.  Daily tickets are $10 for an adult with children 12 and under admitted free.  A three-day pass for just $20 saves a full day’s admission.  In addition, there are special displays, a showfield with awards, a $1,000 prize issued to one lucky registrant, great fair-style food, crafts and family excitement.  For registration and ticket information, enthusiasts are encouraged to call 717-243-7855.
