EXHIBITS, SHOWS AND DEMONSTRATIONS

Rainforest Adventure
Rainforest Adventure — exclusively at the Springs Preserve—takes you on a multi-sensory expedition of the world’s tropical rainforests. Delight in a wide variety of hands-on exhibits, role-play as scientists, climb a 9-foot kapok tree, explore a gorilla’s nest, study plant and animal life, visit a village and even weave on a loom. Learn about the challenges facing these unique ecological wonders and how each of us can make a difference in preserving and protecting these precious natural habitats. Rainforest Adventure was created by Stepping Stones Museum for Children with support from The Jaffe Family Foundation and MeadWestvaco Corporation. Rainforest Adventure is made possible in part by generous support from Rainforest Cafe. Exhibit on display daily through September 8, 2013. Free for members or included with paid general admission.

Next Exit: Route 66
Get your kicks on Route 66! Explore how local artists have interpreted this icon of the American Auto Age--avenue to the West and symbol of freedom and reinvention--using a variety of media and techniques. Featuring artists Su Limbert, Todd Miller, Andreana Donahue, Justin Favela and JW Caldwell. Exhibit on display daily through September 15, 2013. Free for members or included with paid general admission.

Art in the Gardens – Art in Motion: The Kinetic Wind Art of Mark White
Mark White’s kinetic wind sculptures were designed by the artist to encourage self-reflection, as the sculptures whimsically move with the winds. They are precisely balanced to respond to the lightest of breeze, yet strong enough to withstand 100 mph winds. Visitors to the exhibit will be able to relax and contemplate nature and art, while the Springs Preserve Botanical Gardens bloom around them. Exhibit on display daily through September 30, 2013. Free for members or included with paid general admission.
