LONDON - July 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Mr Patrick Malluci, a leading expert in the field of body contouring and breast treatments and his colleague Niall Kirkpatrick, have been featured on the popular channel 5 series “Botched up Bodies.”

The programme, which airs on Monday nights, highlights some of the pain and misery that poor cosmetic surgery can cause and how Britain’s top plastic surgeons in London (http://www.cadoganclinic.com) go about correcting a host of surgical disasters.

Following a number of people who have tried a range of surgical techniques, “Botched up Bodies” looks at how dangerous cheap and unregulated surgery can be and the complications that can be caused years down the line.

The episode showed Mr Malluci removing a two stone growth from the stomach of Stephen, following a gastric bypass that went wrong – giving him a whole new lease of life. Meanwhile, Mr Kirkpatrick from the west London clinic was called upon to help Alexis, who had permanent lip filler applied while on holiday in Greece, which several years later had started to cause disfigurement and pain. He was able to repair the damage, giving her a fabulous, natural looking smile.

Mr Malluci also came to the aid of Susan from Newcastle, who was suffering after the breast implants she had some years ago begun to leak and cause complications. He was able to replace the old, faulty implants and ensured she was pain free and no longer at risk of infection.

The show highlights the dangers of rushing into cosmetic surgery without considering the dangers and future consequences, as well as the value of sound medical advice from a reputable and respectable cosmetic surgery clinic – a point that Niall Kirkpatrick was keen to emphasise on camera.

“Lack of regulation is a big problem,” he explained on the show. “Most people probably wouldn’t go to have their hair done unless they knew that person had been trained to cut hair. Yet the same people are happy to go to someone who has no medical qualifications whatsoever and have things injected into themselves that can produce devastating medical problems.”

Most women opt for breast implant replacements in order to gain peace of mind and avoid any potential health issues in the future. We strongly recommend that if you are experiencing any irritation or inflammation in your chest area and think you may have been exposed to PIP implants in the past, to contact us as soon as possible.

As a leading London breast facility The Cadogan Clinic regularly performs breast implant replacement, removing PIP implants put in by other cosmetic clinics. As one of the few facilities that have never used PIP implants, The Cadogan Clinic is extremely well-placed to provide advice to any patient whose implants need replacing with a higher quality and safer alternative.
