Evan Guthrie Law Firm Is Lawyer For Burke Middle High School Career Symposium

CHARLESTON, S.C. - July 22, 2013 - PRLog -- Attorney Evan Guthrie of the Evan Guthrie Law Firm in Charleston, South Carolina was the lawyer for Burke Middle High School’s Career Symposium on Friday March 22^nd 2013. Burke Middle High School encompasses the two institutions of Burke High School and Burke Middle School on the same campus. This was the second consecutive year that Mr. Guthrie was able to speak to the students at Burke on their career day. Attorney Guthrie spoke during three different sessions of students for about a half hour in duration. Mr. Guthrie told the students what the legal profession was about, what steps they needed to take if they were interested in a career in law, what college and law school is like, what a typical day is like in the life of a practicing lawyer, and the best and worst parts about legal careers.

Attorney Guthrie also allowed and encouraged students to stop his presentation at any time if they had a question. Mr. Guthrie answered questions that included what to do if there is a client that one does not feel comfortable representing, what was the most interesting legal matter he had been a part of, how to get prepared while in middle and high school to be on the path to becoming a lawyer, and how much different types of legal careers typically earn on an annual basis. Attorney Guthrie was joined in the career event by his law clerk, Kimaya Brown, whom talked a little about her life as a college student and how she was preparing for law school and a potential legal career. Mr. Guthrie was happy to return to Burke to speak and give back to his local community by representing what the legal profession has to offer from its lawyers. Attorney Guthrie looks forward to returning to Burke again for future events and inspire potential future lawyers.
