Director of Photography Louis Halcyon Simmons Wins Judges Award For AERIAL Los Angeles

SAN FRANCISCO - July 20, 2013 - PRLog -- (SF) The PR Firm announced earlier this week, Aerial Cinematographer / Director of Photography Louis Halcyon Simmons won the Judges Award for the Scary Cow Indie Film Festival. The movie screened at the world famous Castro Theater in San Francisco, July 6th. This is the first award picked up by cinematographer Louis Halcyon Simmons, but surely not a first for his aerial stock footage housed by agent Paula Lumbard of Footagebank in so Cal.  

Credits for the film include Glen Cheney & Stephen Sea for composing.  Narration by Rob Barker, Ken Grobe - Screenplay, Aerial pilot - David Gene Gibbs and Aerial Cinematographer Louis Halcyon Simmons.  

Originally scheduled on 9/11 in 2002, this shoot was later rescheduled for late January of 2003, one of the coldest nights of the year.  During post production Louis found out about the tragic death of close friend & exclusive pilot David Gene Gibbs.  David piloted Louis for Los Angeles, San Francisco & Las Vegas. AERIAL Los Angeles is dedicated in loving memory to David Gene Gibbs.
