Of course generally the best solutions are the simplest ones, and in this situation nothing beats a case and screen protector.

Applying a screen protector can sometimes seem like a daunting task, but if you follow these easy steps, you’ll have that screen protected and looking fine.

Step 1 – Get into a dust-free environment

Firstly, you want to make sure you’re in a relatively dust free environment, as one of the biggest culprits for bubbles is dust.

Use a micro fibre cloth to clean the screen and remove any dust from the screen. Most screen protector kits come with a cleaning cloth.

Step 2 – Peel off the screen protector

Once your screen is dust free, peel off the first layer of the screen protector, this will be marked on one of the tabs on the sides. Keep the side you peel from face down to prevent any dust from landing on it.

Step 3 – Line up your screen protector with your phone

Line up the screen protector along the centre line of the phone, this will allow you to check to see the holes for speakers or buttons are in line.

Lower the centre of the screen protector till it touches the screen. Once it forms a seal, let go of the edges, this will allow the screen protector to fall into place with out any resistance.

Step 4 – Squeeze out the bubbles

Take a card (Bankcard, business card) and push any bubbles to an edge to clear the air. Don’t worry about scratching the screen protector as there is still one more layer to peel off.

Once all the bubbles are gone, slowly peel the second layer off with the tab. Be careful not to pull too hard initially so not to disturb the screen protector.

You’re all done, and now your phones screen is protected from scratches. Over time they may wear, so replace when you fell the need to.
