Atlanta Kitchen Donates Countertops for Tripp Halstead’s Home Makeover

ATLANTA - July 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Recently, Construction Resources, Inc. had the privilege to team up with Sunshine on a Ranney Day, a non-profit that creates dream room makeovers for children with long term illnesses, to help with Tripp Halstead’s home makeover. The company’s Atlanta Kitchen division donated countertops for rooms throughout the Halstead’s home.

For almost a year, the Halstead family has been fighting for their son Tripp’s recovery after a tree limb fell directly onto his head at daycare and shattered his skull. Surgery after surgery has proved that Tripp and his devoted family are strong and determined. After the Halsteads purchased a new home, Sunshine on a Ranney Day jumped at the opportunity to help the family out by creating an accommodating environment for Tripp.

During this process, Atlanta Kitchen was called in to update the home’s countertops by installing Black Pearl granite in the basement kitchen and Caledonia granite in the laundry room.

“Since hearing Tripp’s story last year, we have wanted to do something to help,” explained Mitch Hires, co-owner of Construction Resources. “Working with Sunshine on a Ranney Day gave us a chance to do just that. Everyone really came together to do something good for this deserving family. They have worked so hard to come this far, and the last thing they needed to worry about was their home and its safety.”

The makeover reveal of the Halstead home took place on July 13, 2013. Along with enjoying a DJ, food and other special surprises, Atlanta Kitchen was able to see the family react to seeing their home for the first time since they purchased it.

“This moment was like none other,” stated Hires. “The Halsteads are truly an amazing and inspiring family, and we are so honored to have participated in this life changing event. We hope they will love their home for many years to come.”
