Curtain Call Celebrates National Dance Day

YORK, Pa. - July 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Hundreds of Curtain Call employees and local dancers will gather on Tuesday, July 23 at 11 a.m. to celebrate dance. The 4^th Annual National Dance Day is officially on July 27 this year, but Curtain Call is celebrating early in the hopes of sharing a video of its event with the online dance community.

National Dance Day is a grassroots initiative created by Nigel Lythgoe (executive producer and judge for TV’s So You Think You Can Dance) that encourages the nation, young and old, to move. Individuals, families, organizations and communities across the nation come together through their creative expression in dance. Any style of dance is welcome and imagination is recommended in order to get the most out of this celebratory day.

Since July, two dance routines have been posted by the Dizzy Feet Foundation for people of all ages to learn. In advance of the event, Curtain Call associates will take the time to learn two routines and get ready to strut their stuff. Again this year, local dance studios will join the event.

This year, the celebration will take place at Life is… Dance, Gym & Swim, a new local dance store. The store is the exclusive retail source of Curtain Call products in Central Pennsylvania. According to Bob Geisenberger, Life is… President, “We are excited to promote National Dance Day with Curtain Call, our partner for over 32 years. I can’t think of a better way to show our commitment to dance.”
