LOS ANGELES - July 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Costa Acupuncture is dedicated to making acupuncture treatments accessible to as many people as possible in the Los Angeles area. They have offered discounted acupuncture treatments to their patients since opening their doors in Culver City in 2010 and more recently in Brentwood.

While many people still do not have insurance coverage for acupuncture treatments, this will be changing soon.  On Sept. 30th, 2012, Governor Jerry Brown signed bills SB 951 and AB 1453, which cover acupuncture under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).  The two measures include acupuncture as an “essential health benefit” starting in 2014.

Costa Acupuncture is now  an In-Network provider with Blue Shield of California.  They also accept other insurance plans that cover out-of-network providers.

“If you would like to find out if treatment at Costa Acupuncture is covered by your insurance plan, please call or e-mail us at either of our locations and we will verify your eligibility.” says the clinical director, Michael Costa, L.Ac.

Costa Acupuncture will submit acupuncture claims on behalf their patients.  A patient’s expense will never exceed the discounted out-of-pocket rates listed on their web site.

For patients not covered by their insurance plan, or do not have health insurance, Costa Acupuncture still offers the same affordable discounted out-of-pocket rates.
