The six-year cyclical renovation included updating guest rooms to the TownePlace Suites “UpTowne” décor package with soft goods replacement, granite countertops, a stainless steel appliance package, and upgraded flooring in the kitchens and bathrooms. The property breakfast and food preparation areas were expanded to provide additional space for guests to relax. To accommodate the additional breakfast space, a guest room was converted and the fitness room was relocated. Updates to the previously renovated lobby and minor repairs to the building’ Courtyard by Marriott Carlsbad PHR managed the $2 million renovation of the Courtyard by Marriott Carlsbad, California which included an upgrade to the Courtyard Refreshing Business concept involving the guest rooms and public space. Updates to the public space included business friendly, brand signature items like the interactive GoBoard, Media Pods, Boarding Pass print station and communal table. The renovation also included construction of the Courtyard dining concept, The Bistro- Eat. Drink. Connect., private seating areas, library and home theater, an updated business center, and modern reception pods to replace the legacy-style front desk. The guest rooms received a full update including carpet, wall coverings, soft seating, refrigerators, lighting package, new artwork and drapery. Homewood Suites Hartford PHR partnered with design firm CRDS, Inc. of Tustin, California on the Homewood Suites Hartford, Connecticut renovation project. Mother Nature challenged the team with three major winter storms. On two occasions, the crew was diverted from construction work to snow shoveling duty so guests could safely navigate the building and parking lots. The renovation included implementation of the Homewood Suites “In Flight” All guestrooms and the Lodge received new paint, vinyl wall coverings, drapery, case goods, upholstered goods, and a new lighting and art package.
