Star Plus’s magnum opus Mahabharat has recently got itself in an unforeseen predicament as even after its launch announcement, the show is yet to finalize Draupadi- one of the key characters from the epic drama. If grapevine is to believe, the makers of show has auditioned more than a dozen Bollywood actresses for the coveted role and still yet to zero in on a name. Few names from Bollywood such as Ria Sen, Sayali Bhagat and Yuvika Choudhary have been making the rounds for a while now but the makers are extremely tight lipped about the whole progress.

According to a source from the production house, “We always knew that that making an epic drama of this scale is going to be a massive undertaking, but finding Draupadi has turned out to be a herculean task. For some reason, we are not able to finalize on anyone yet. Where a Bollywood actress may be the ultimate choice we are not ruling out any possibility of a known television actress joining the troop”.
