July 16, 2013 - PRLog -- On June 25, 1950, a surprise attack by North Korean soldiers overwhelmed South Korean forces. South Korea

along with the united state, and U.N. forces fought to a stalemate with North Korea that was aided by the

Chinese. On July 27, 1953, North and South Korea under international mediation, signed an armistice

agreement which ended the three year bloody conflict.

The Korean War Veterans Association LT. Richard E. Cronan Chapter #17, will be celebrating it’s 60th

anniversary of armistice on July 27, 2013. The celebration will be held at Lynn University, 3601 N Military Trail

Boca Raton, FL 33431 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The celebration will feature guest speakers, entertainment,

short film, and refreshment for all in attendance. The war that is often called the Forgotten War should always

be remembered, as we endeavored to help the community with their understanding and appreciation for the

courageous, commitment, and sacrifices made by America's servicemen and women. This event is free to the

public, everyone is invited to attend the celebration.
