Armenian Skier’s Incredible Journey To Get To Sochi Winter Games

NOVATO, Calif. - July 16, 2013 - PRLog -- With the full support of the Armenian Ski Federation behind him, American-Armenian slalom ski racer Arman Serebrakian should only have one thing on his mind - racing to qualify to represent Armenia for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. There's just one hitch, the Armenian Ski Federation is unable to assist financially. With the high cost of ski racing, and the increased demand for world-class equipment, training, and coaching, the 25 year old is taking matters into his own hands by partnering with Armenian-owned content marketing firm fLO Content to launch a uniquely Armenian fundraising campaign.

Born to an Armenian Family in America, Arman Serebrakian’s journey to Sochi 2014 started when he put on his first pair of skis at 2 years old. Arman joined the burgeoning Armenia ski team in 2009 where his competitive spirit, discipline and focus led him to be consistently ranked one of the top 500 slalom skiers in the world. A brief slip in his rankings caused him to miss his chance to compete in Vancouver in 2010. This time, he’s sacrificing everything for the chance to represent Armenia in the Winter Olympics and bring attention to the sport of Skiing to Armenia. No career, no personal life - just one goal - to qualify for Sochi 2014. To put Armenia on the map for slalom skiing.
