Catalina Island Welcomes the Laugh Factory Comedy Club

LOS ANGELES - July 15, 2013 - PRLog -- The Santa Catalina Island Company (SCICo) is partnering with the Laugh Factory Comedy Club (http://www.visitcatalinaisland.com/comedyclub.php) this summer, bringing its world-famous entertainment to Avalon, Catalina Island, every Friday night starting July 12 through August 30. The twice-nightly shows take place in the courtyard of the Catalina Country Club (http://www.visitcatalinaisland.com/avalon/poin_countryClub.php) at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., accompanied by a full bar and dinner menu.

Tickets to the shows, which are open to those 18 and above, are $30 for standard entry or $40 for VIP early entry and can be purchased online at www.visitcatalinaisland.com, from any SCICo ticket booth or the Pavilion Hotel or Hotel Atwater.

Other new nightlife happenings this July and August include Weekend Beach Parties (http://www.visitcatalinaisland.com/avalon/beachparty.php) at the Descanso Beach Club on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, which feature a live DJ and full bar from 2 to 5 p.m., offering guests a smooth transition from a day of lounging in the sun and recreating in the ocean to an entertainment-filled, festive afternoon. Happy Hour at Descanso Beach Club bar is available Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m., which overlaps with beach-side performances by live acoustic local artist on Sunday evenings.

The Avalon Grille, Catalina’s premier waterfront dining option, offers summer-long After Hours (http://www.visitcatalinaisland.com/avalon/afterhours.php) post-dinner entertainment and drink specials every Friday and Saturday from a wide selection of draft beer, wine and creative cocktails. A late-night bar menu of delectable plates is available as the DJ spins tunes until 1 a.m.  Plus, available Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 6 p.m., visitors seeking pre-dinner refreshments will enjoy the Avalon Grille’s Happy Hour 5@5 offer, in which guests can select any five food or beverage items from a specially prepared menu for just $5 each.

The heart of Two Harbors nightlife, Harbor Reef Restaurant and Saloon, (http://www.visitcatalinaisland.com/twoHarbors/dini_harborReefRestaurant.php) now offers live entertainment and a late-night DJ for weekend visitors to Catalina Island’s West End. Guests can savor the sweetness of Catalina’s signature cocktail, Buffalo Milk, and other popular beverages while DJs play on Friday and Saturday nights from 8 p.m. to midnight. To cap the weekend’s festivities, live bands will rock the Harbor Reef’s beach-side patio Saturday afternoons and on Sundays from 9:30 a.m. through the lunch hour.
