TORONTO - July 15, 2013 - PRLog -- TORONTO, – Sacred Rides (http://www.sacredrides.com/), the company that helped pioneer singletrack mountain bike tours in 13 remote and exotic international destinations has posted a video on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEEqaGdBv9Y) called “This is why we ride -- a celebration of mountain biking.”

The action-packed, three-minute film produced by Mike Brcic, owner of Sacred Rides (http://www.sacredrides.com/) headquartered in Toronto, asks fat tire enthusiasts from around the world: “Why do you ride?”  Their responses add up to a celebration of mountain biking detailing the many physical, emotional, and spiritual reasons that people mountain bike.

“It's already caused quite a stir within the biking community,” said Brcic. “The video garnered over 12,000 views in less than 48 hours!”

The video was created using photos, videos and quotes from mountain bikers around the world. “It is our celebration of the sport and we wanted to capture all the joy, freedom and deeper meaning behind why people mountain bike,” he said.

The video is being released in tandem with a contest to help it go viral.

Win a Mountain Bike Adventure Contest: From now until Aug. 10, 2013, anyone who views the video and then shares it on at least one other social media site can enter to win a free mountain biking trip in the Canadian Rockies (valued at up to $2,495). The winner may choose from Sacred Rides’ Rocky Mountain Rambler (http://www.sacredrides.com/singletrackrides/bc/rambler) (for experienced mountain bikers) or their Ultimate Canadian Multisport Adventure (http://www.sacredrides.com/multisportrides/bc/ultimate-ca...) In August 2012 Sacred Rides ran a contest that asked riders to submit photos, videos and quotes about a trail or ride experience that really made them feel joyous and alive. The company received over 50 videos and 120 photos from enthusiasts in Europe, Asia, South and North America. ‘This is Why We Ride’ was then created by the crowd-sourced footage and material.
