SAN DIEGO - July 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Don Goodman of GotTheJob.com Reviews Industry Complaints

GotTheJob.com has been writing resumes for 15+ years, and has witnessed and reviewed every kind scam, complaint, fraud, rip off, bad review, or any of the other endless internet services offering false claims.

Don Goodman of GotTheJob notes:

“One needs to ensure that care is taken when reviewing a resume writing service as anyone can put up a sign claiming that they write professional resumes.”

Don Goodman goes on to say,

“A lot of complaints are being filed against companies that are setting up a fake resume writing service review site, and then ranking themselves as the “Top Firm” in an attempt to deceive potential customers. These firms en are generally overseas and, upon review of what is then received (if anything at all), it rarely resembles a resume”.

Below GotTheJob.com reviews and reveals the inner workings of the Industry and how to avoid resume writing scams. (This is part one of this series, please check back for the rest!)

1.Avoid the Scams. Unfortunately, there are a number of scams out there. Be cautious of sites that say they have reviewed and rated resume services. For example, there is a list showing the “Top 7 resume writing sites” and these are all owned by the same individual. The safest way to ensure you’re going to get a quality product is to check out their BBB rating and look for firms with an A or A+ rating.

2.Avoid high volume factories and low-end providers. In recent years there has been an ever growing number of low-end providers cropping up which claim to provide super cheap resumes for prices of $199 or less. They also offer 24-48 hr. turnaround on jobs. This simply means that these companies are using software or templates to provide the resume and it will look and read like everyone else’s resume.

3.Good resumes take hours to complete. Some companies have their writers create 6 to 12 resumes per day. That means they are spending about 20 minutes on your resume.

Don Goodman continuously reviews all writers at GotheJob.com in order to ensure that they are completing no more than 1-2 resumes each working day. This step goes towards making sure that the proper time is taken in order to fully understand the task at hand.

Your resume is THE MOST IMPORTANT document in your career and should not be rushed.

If you want your resume to stand out, Don Goodman at GotTheJob.com recommends that you find someone who will take the time to discover your unique abilities, accomplishments and traits.

It is always a good idea to ensure that the Owner/Operator of the firm is clearly identified, and easily researched. Don’t be fooled by companies in which their leaders remain nameless.
