KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - July 11, 2013 - PRLog -- KNOXVILLE, TN – Gyrene Burger Company Franchisee Rob Wynkoop, of BLCW Enterprises, LLC, has signed a lease on a prime piece of real estate along the University of Tennessee’s famed Cumberland Avenue “Strip.”

The location – 1927 Cumberland Avenue – puts this Gyrene Burger Company location in what franchisee Rob Wynkoop says is a “perfect” location.

“We’re right in the middle of everything. From a delivery standpoint – that’s where we want to be. We can deliver to the 30-plus thousand person campus, The Fort Sanders Community, local hospitals, and we can even reach downtown.”

This Gyrene Burger location will also offer approximately 2100 square-feet of in-store dining – a shift from the previous delivery only corporate store models.

“I believe giving people the option to sit-down in our restaurants for lunch will allow us to serve a wider clientele. Some people are too busy to go out to lunch, and for them we’ll deliver with rapid-speed and serve the highest quality burgers and sides. For those who do have the time to get out of the office or the dorm, they’ll be able to enjoy the best burgers on Cumberland in our restaurant, surf some free Wi-Fi, and experience our world-class customer service,” said Wynkoop.

The restaurant is slated to open in September and will feature gourmet quality hamburgers and french fries. The burgers are made with always fresh Angus beef and are never frozen. Gyrene Burger hand cuts all its french fries as well. According to Wynkoop, Gyrene Burgers are made with only the finest ingredients and will feature locally sourced products when in season.

About Gyrene Burger Company:

Founded in 2011, Gyrene Burger Company was founded by Tom Monaghan in Naples, Florida. Monaghan was also the founder of Domino’s Pizza. With this new concept, Monaghan paired America’s favorite food – the hamburger – with his expertise in delivery to create a new category in the quick service industry. The name Gyrene Burger Company is a nod to Monaghan’s time as a U.S. Marine. Pronounced “Jih-rene” it is thought to have gotten it’s use from the combination of the Army vernacular of G.I. and the Corps’ Marine. Gyrene Burger Company is military-themed and has begun significant effort to recruit former Marines as it’s initial franchisees.
