Fashionably Advantaged Magazine Hosts Fun Summer Workshop for Youth

BALTIMORE - July 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Who: Founders and editors of Fashionably Advantaged Magazine, Lesley and Ashley Wilks will be connecting with youth from local community organizations.

What: An intensive summer workshop for youth which will discuss how to establish and manage a magazine. Specific topics discussed will include strategizing, identifying readership and audience, identifying competition, content and design, management, legal considerations, revenue and advertising, finance and business, marketing and publicity, printing and production. The cost to register is $150.

When: Friday, August 16, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST. Registration begins on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 and ends on Tuesday, July 16, 2013.

Where: Largo-Kettering Meeting Room at Prince George’s County Memorial Library: Largo-Kettering Branch located at 9601 Capital Lane, Largo, MD 20774

Why: To teach and guide the youth and teens on how to apply their creative writing and photography skills which will enable them to create a magazine that encourages and up builds today’s youth
