Has Motor Club of America Raised The Bar & Exposed Other Similar Programs As Coming Up Short?

There's a huge debate brewing about which roadside assistance programs are best. Many will argue that they have the best program available to consumers but do they? Is your roadside assistance program "scamming" you?

July 9, 2013 - PRLog -- The definition of a scam is "a fraudulent or deceptive act or operation". Are they scamming you out of money? I would hope not but why aren't they providing protection for you and your family both on and off the road? Being that most of these roadside assistance companies are backed by huge insurance companies, there shouldn't be any problem adding these much needed services to their packages. Motor Club of America, which according to online records, is based out of Oklahoma City, OK, has become a top contender in the motor club company race.

A look at their site and you'll find that they provide a number of services that protect it's members on and off the road. Services like 100 mile towing, hospital emergency cash, bail bond assistance, lawyer services, discounts on health services like vision, dental & prescription drugs and much more. Research the history of Motor Club of America & you'll find that they were started by William H. Green back in 1926. Since then, according to online sources, they've been able to build a database of over 7,000,000 members through out the US and Canada.

What seems to set Motor Club of America apart from many, if not all, other roadside assistance programs, is they don't do any advertising whatsoever nor are they backed by a big name insurance company.

MCA, as it's referred to for short, pays it's members a hefty fee to advertise for them. According to their compensation plan, MCA pays it's members $80 (or 200% commissions) for every referral they make. The most shocking part is they pay their members every single Friday for referrals from the previous week. Here's what MCA says when asked how they are able to pay 200% commissions on every $40 referral.

"We know how much our customers love our services and over the years, have built a loyal customer base. We know on average how long a customer will stay with us and therefore, it's worth it for us to pay you a generous 200% commission. We pay all our reps $80 and in return, we get a loyal, paying customer month after month."
