July 9, 2013 - PRLog -- ORLANDO, Fla.  - Orlando Museum of Art’s Council of 101 is proud to announce

the 27th Annual Festival of Trees will be held Saturday, November 16th through Sunday,

November 24th, 2013.  This year’s theme will be “All That Glitters” and is expected to bring sparkle and shine to all of the Festival’s special events.  

Two private events will open this year’s Festival beginning with “Light up the Holidays” on Thursday, November 14th, when Mayor Buddy Dyer will officially light the Rotunda tree, followed by the Festival Gala on Friday, November 15th when guests will enjoy a spectacular evening of dining and entertainment. Tickets for these separate events may be purchased in advance by calling 407-896-4231 x254, or by visiting www.omart.org.  Public admission to the Festival of Trees begins on Saturday, November 16th. Tickets are available at the door.

During the Festival of Trees, the Orlando Museum of Art is transformed with enchanting and brilliant displays of designer decorated trees and wreaths, gingerbread creations, stunning vignettes, a unique gift boutique and children’s activity area and shop.  

The Orlando Museum of Art will be featuring an exhibition in the Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Brooker Sr. Grand Gallery for Festival guests to enjoy and appreciate fine art. The Festival will offer everyone’s favorite traditional events including live musical performances.  The entire family will delight in the holiday magic of the Festival of Trees.  

General Admission tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children.  Senior’s Day tickets are discounted by $1.  Parking is going to be available off-site as well as on-site, at a charge of $5, to capacity.  Convenient shuttles are being scheduled for visitors.  

Proceeds for the Festival of Trees benefit the Orlando Museum of Art; this includes all the children’s art and educational programs offered to over 25,000 Central Florida kids. The Orlando Museum of Art’s Council of 101 relies on the generous support of sponsors and those who provide entertainment and cuisine, as well as those who donate and purchase trees, wreaths and gingerbread creations.
