Intellicus introduces Cubes on Hadoop

SAN JOSE, Calif. - July 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Intellicus Technologies exhibited in Hadoop Summit 2013 – the 6th Annual Hadoop Summit, the leading conference for the Apache Hadoop community. The event was held in San Jose, CA on June 26-27, 2013 San Jose Convention Center.

At the event Intellicus demonstrated the capability to apply Cubes on Hadoop. Intellicus extended its innovative multi-dimensional pre-aggregation based analytical solution to the Hadoop platform. This breakthrough concept introduces processing of data at source; rather than bringing in data and then processing it.

To explain this further, capacity of Hadoop architecture to process Petabytes of data by parallel processing is utilized by Intellicus. It generates a series of MapReduce jobs to pre-aggregate large amount of data, which already exists on Hadoop, without the need of bringing in data to Intellicus memory.

Intellicus also displayed its new OLAP viewer for Mobile users. An innovative and user friendly interface, it provides slicing and dicing capabilities on the move.
