WASHINGTON - July 8, 2013 - PRLog -- GEORGETOWN, WASHINGTON DC, JULY 2013…SCOUT by Bungalow (, a leading supplier of fashion and lifestyle bags, bins, insulated totes, and travel accessories is currently debuting its fall collection at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market. This 100% new collection offers 20% more product selection than the fall line from a year ago, and it features 6 new forms as well as 17 original prints. The line will begin shipping to stores at the end of July.

The new forms for Fall 2013 follow the brand’s continued success as a leading resource for tote bags and storage bins and also represent its expansion into smaller accessories. In totes, the ‘BJ Bag’ is a multi-pocket zip-top tote, ideal for carrying items to and from the office, gym, or the beach; the ‘Double Fistah’ is the newest beverage tote, a two-compartment wine tote designed so customers can double up on the perfect hostess gift for a party; the ‘Gift Bag’ now comes in a small and large size, and each size has shoulder handles to make running errands that much more convenient. In storage, the ‘Rump Stump’ is the newest lidded storage bin which, in addition to storing shoes or sweaters, creates the perfect ottoman or footstool to accompany the popular ‘Rump Roost’. In accessories, the ‘Snap-2-It’ is a crossbody bag made with two zipper compartments that can unsnap and detach from one another for a bag with just one compartment, helping customers downsize from a daytime bag to a night out bag; the second small accessory, the ‘Girls Night Out’, is a purse that simplifies the process of stopping to sip a cocktail while chatting with girlfriends.

SCOUT’s Creative Director and Co-Founder Deb Johns organized the 17 new fall patterns into 4 major color stories: the berry or ‘Spice Market’ story is inspired by global craftsmanship, specifically tapestries, basketry, and decorative ornamentation, incorporating hues such as magenta, burnt sienna, paprika, and curry; the neutral or ‘Gallery’ story is inspired by modern fashion photography and its three neutral impressions, incorporating black & white, sepia tones, and colorized black & white; the blue & green or ‘House Party’ story is inspired by the great estates of the UK countryside, incorporating upholstery plaids, wallpaper paisleys, and tiled flooring; finally, the multi-color or ‘Endless Summer’ story is inspired by the old Hollywood and mod essence of Palm Springs, incorporating optic tweed, paisley, and 60s zigzag.

Of the new collection, Deb adds, “When considering what colors to put into a new seasonal collection, it’s important that we move forward with new colors but we don’t leave behind our ‘bread and butter’… At SCOUT we always try to be aware of the global market in addition to the domestic market, thus pulling our influences from a dynamic spectrum, which in turn yields a selection of pattern and color that is both vibrant and varied.”
