U.S. Navy SEALS to “Dive for Vital Warrior” at the Aquarium of the Pacific

Vital Warrior brings non-pharmaceutical healing methods for veterans and civilians suffering from Post Traumatic Stress

LONG BEACH, Calif. - July 7, 2013 - PRLog -- On August 28th 2013, a team of Navy SEALS will be on a special dive mission for Vital Warrior, a non-profit organization, in an effort to bring help to those who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress (PTS).

With a 22-year Naval career under his belt, retired U.S. Navy SEAL Chief Mikal Vega has been working on the most passionate mission of his life – the creation of Vital Warrior. Three years of hard work through research and personal testament, has led Mikal to want to help his fellow veterans and civilians with a non-pharmaceutical treatment for PTS.

Having personally gone through it himself, Mikal serves as the “poster child” of how he regained a sense of normalcy in his life and is completely free of the prescription drugs that nearly killed him.

PTS can affect anyone exposed to high stress situations ranging from war to divorce, death or other traumatic events. The symptoms of PTS can be overwhelming and misunderstood by those closest to us, who cannot always relate or sympathize. Vital Warrior’s recent research on PTS show that out of the men and women who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, nearly 30% suffer from PTS, and of those 30%, only about half will seek treatment, which almost always includes prescribed medications.

Vital Warrior, a non-profit organization founded by Mikal himself, is already making an impact in the lives of many of his fellow veterans in the Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Several are under the direct mentorship and guidance from Mikal personally.

Mikal and several of his Navy SEAL friends will be at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA on August 28, 2013, to dive for Vital Warrior. Vital Warrior is grateful for the open arms reception from the Aquarium of the Pacific and their support of our veterans.

With this being Vital Warrior’s first official community event, the Org hopes to bring awareness of its non-pharmaceutical services to both the military and civilian community.
