Follow on Google News | Why Aspiring isn't suitable for all heart patientsA new research reveals why aspirin isn't suitable for all heart patients.
By: ImmuneTree The research opens door for future research to see what kind of people would benefit most from the usage of aspiring and who should stay away from it. Aspirin is a widely used medicine for heart disease and stroke for decades. Aspirin thins the blood and helps in reducing the effects of these diseases. However, the actual working mechanism of aspirin is still unknown to doctors and they haven’t been able to figure out why it doesn’t work that well for many people. The researchers who conducted this study at first analyzed two groups of healthy volunteers and one group of those suffering from heart diseases. The heart patients were given small dosage of aspiring as part of their regular medicine while the other healthy ones were givne 300 gm. dosage of aspirin each day for a month. To analyze the results, the researchers studied the impact of aspirin on genes and blood cells called platelets. After the groups were given the specific dosage of aspiring, their gene profiles were studied to calculate the aspirin response. The results showed insufficient platelet response to aspiring therapy in both groups of heart disease patients and healthy patients. Although this isn’t the first study on this topic, it surely has opened new doors for further exploration into the matter. Although 60 million people take aspiring regularly to prevent heart diseases, it doesn’t work that well for everyone. For more information visit http://immunetreeblog.com/ End
