Comedian Akintunde, Chris Williams, B.O.U.Q.U.I and others performs at Night of Gospel Laughs

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - July 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Brooklyn, NY July 9, 2013- Global Christian Event Network (GCEN) will host its flagship annual standup comedy event Night of Gospel Laughs at 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 24th, 2013. This year's event will take place at Kumble Theater – LIU Brooklyn on Flatbush Avenue between DeKalb Avenue and Willoughby Street. One University Plaza, Brooklyn NY 11201.

Returning for the fourth year, NOGL is a no holds barred standup comedy experience featuring some of the best Christian comedians of the new generation along with seasoned veterans performing their funniest routines. Hailed as the biggest gospel comedy show in NY and the tri-state area by NEWD Magazine, NOGL is suitable for everyone and creates entertainment for all age groups by using the available platforms of comedy, music, dance and other expressive forms of arts.

Leading other acts at this year's edition is Comedian Akintunde, a 20 Year Comedy Veteran. In addition to multiple appearances on The Word Network, TBN, The Gospel Music Channel, and The Stellars Awards, Akintunde has been on 10 national tours in the past 5 years. He toured with Pastors Creflo and Taffi Dollar on the "Change Experience" Tour for 3 years and is signed with Arrow Global Entertainment as their only Comedic Artist. Akintunde has a syndicated radio show that airs in more than 50 markets.

Supporting Akintunde is Chris Williams; the 2011 Kingdom Choice Awards host who has been blessed to grace the stage multiple times at Bahamas Faith Ministries’ annual Youth Conference “Youth Alive”, Pastored by Dr. Myles Munroe. At the 2012 edition of NOGL, Chris captivated the audience so much that they simply asked that he should be brought back.
