Medical Tourism Association® Offers Marketing Workshop in Portugal

The Medical Tourism Association® will present a daylong workshop on “Medical Tourism Marketing and the World Health,” Wednesday, July 10, at the Hotel Vila Gale Ópera, in Lisbon, Portugal.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - July 1, 2013 - PRLog -- The Medical Tourism Association® will present a daylong workshop on “Medical Tourism Marketing and the World Health,” Wednesday, July 10, at the Hotel Vila Gale Ópera, in Lisbon, Portugal.

Renee-Marie Stephano, president of the Medical Tourism Association®, will offer feature presentations on “Government Involvement in Medical Tourism” and “Free Zones Creating Health, Medical Tourism Zones and Clusters of Health,” in which she will discuss public/private partnerships, improving the quality of care, healthcare reform; and conditions, actors, and leverage strategies for developing clusters, among other subjects.

Other panel discussions include “The Challenges for Portugal: Patient Safety & Innovation,” João Viegas Fernandes, president of the Portuguese Association for Tourism Health and Wellness – APTSBE; and “Introduction to International Marketing Health Care: European Reality,” Paul K. Moreira, director of the International Journal of Healthcare Management, United Kingdom.

Additional Medical Tourism Association® presentations include “Introduction to Medical Tourism” and “The Role of Industry Tourism/Travel in Medical Tourism,” Cristina Cardona; and “Inbound vs. Outbound Medical Tourism,” and “Tourism Health and Wellness,” Jeff Coxon. ”Marketing in European Health: Clinics and Hospitals,” will be delivered by both Moreira and Coxon.
