Hudson Strategic Partners Chairman Frank Weir celebrates his surprise 50th birthday

CENTRAL DISTRICT, Hong Kong - July 1, 2013 - PRLog -- This was in fact a surprise party which had left him speechless.  The celebrations took place at Hong Kong’s lavish Mandarin Oriental Hotel.  Close family and friends, 50 colleagues and staff, and indeed former colleagues, some of whom flew in from London and New York made his day all the more memorable.

Prior to joining Hudson Strategic partners, Frank Weir served in a number of executive and financial positions with Morgan Stanley, which he joined in the early 1990’s. He was then a Senior Portfolio Manager before being head hunted by Hudson Strategic Partners in 2006 as the Corporate Team Head of Investments.  He was then appointed Senior Chief Investment Officer by Hudson Strategic Partners in 2010.  Speaking on his experiences with Hudson Strategic Partners, he said "I am of course very happy. Hudson Strategic Partners has come very far during the last years and is today a very strong business well positioned for the future".

Hudson Strategic Partners Chief Communications Officer, Ms. Flavia Vieira da Fonseca presented Frank Weir with a case of vintage 1997 Chateau Margaux.   After giving a short speech at his 50th surprise party, Frank Weir said “I am lost for words.  I was not expecting this, and seeing a few old faces that I haven’t seen for a number of years was certainly a blast from the past”.  He also said a few words about his visions for the future.  “Having a Hudson Strategic Partners’ private advisor at your side gives you the peace of mind.  Knowledge is power, and this is something that we possess at Hudson Strategic Partners.  It is what separates us from the rest.  Our aim is to give the private individual the opportunity to reach their financial goals and to give let them have a small piece of what is a very big pie”.

Flavia Vieira da Fonseca said “the future of Hudson Strategic Partners could not be in better hands and we could not ask for a better Chairman.  Happy birthday Frank”.  Towards the end of the night, Frank Weir performed a duet with Ms Flavia Vieira da Fonseca with Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers famous duet of ‘Islands in the stream’.
