PSO Certified Printing Company Reptisk is Using OnPrintShop

ARTESIA, Calif. - June 29, 2013 - PRLog -- We are very happy to share that OnPrintShop client Reptisk (http://www.reptisk.cz/) from Czech Republic is among the 131 print companies in the world to be awarded PSO certificate. Although we cannot call OnPrintShop’s solution PSO certified, we are very proud that it was assessed as part of Reptisk’s business process and it matched stringent requirements of the PSO certifying agency.

PSO or Process Standard Offset is a certification awarded by Ugra – the Swiss Centre of Competence for Media and Printing Technology. PSO certification means the company complies with standards, uses calibrated devices, follows standard operation procedures, and reaches aim values within given tolerances. A PSO certificate involves eight different ISO certifications for documentation, data reception, data creation, display, digital proofing, printing plate production, printing, and illumination.

For PSO certification it is important that the data is created correctly, processed correctly, and controlled accurately at each and every step. Reptisk uses OnPrintShop as one of its official ways to receive data and orders which meets ISO 15930 standard. This data or orders then flow through their manufacturing process. Reptisk meets other two important ISO standards for display of design (ISO 12646) and proofing (ISO 12647-7) where again OnPrintShop is involved. Reptisk then meets ISO standard 9000 for making proper plates and ISO standard 12647-2 for printing on offset machine.

PSO certificate is awarded after a detailed audit is conducted of the printer’s business process and delivery standards. The application of PSO in a printing company helps to facilitate communication, improve quality, and grow in a sustainable manner.
