Hall & Foreman, Inc. Names Matthew H. Okubo, P.L.S., as a Principal

TUSTIN, Calif. - July 1, 2013 - PRLog -- Hall & Foreman, Inc. (HFI), a civil engineering, land planning and surveying firm, announced the appointment of Matthew H. Okubo, P.L.S., as a principal.  In his role as a principal, he will assist the firm’s senior management team in the areas of business expansion, strategic planning, and development of company policy and procedures.

As the newest principal for the firm, Mr. Okubo serves as Vice President / Principal – Geomatics.  Since joining HFI in 2002, he has been instrumental in growing HFI’s survey practice.  In 2008, he was named an associate of the firm.  Mr. Okubo attended the University of Hawaii where he studied civil engineering and surveying.  He is a registered land surveyor and certified in Global Positioning System (GPS) Technology, GPS-trained in static observations, real time kinematics, staking, and GPS post processing.  

As leader of the geomatics practice, he directs the firm’s surveying operations including client relationships, project scheduling, and business development.  As principal, he will participate in the ongoing development of HFI and the implementation of strategic initiatives.  

In making the announcement, HFI’s chief executive officer John C. Hogan, P.E., LEED AP, commended Mr. Okubo’s contributions to the firm by stating, “Matt understands the surveying business from all aspects.  Having started his career in the field as a chainman, he knows first-hand what it takes to be effective in the field.  His experience in the office managing data and working directly with clients has made him a strong leader for the firm. As principal, Mr. Okubo joins existing principals John C. Hogan, P.E., LEED AP, Jon E. Bourgeois, P.E., Mark Miner, LEED AP, Glenn M. Chung, P.E.,QSP/D, Yazdan Emrani, P.E., Henrik Nazarian, P.E., LEED AP, QSP/D, and Anthony Terich, P.E., in directing HFI’s professional practices, strategic planning, and business expansion opportunities.
