Five Young Adult Books You Must Read Before the Movies are Released

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - July 1, 2013 - PRLog -- Being the resident Young Adult Literature expert here at CHARGED.fm, I thought that I would highlight some of the best YA books that are currently being transformed into movies.  

Everyone knows that the books are almost always better, however, these upcoming film versions have the potential to be really spectacular. As an extremely avid book fan, I am always that person harping on about the changes from the book. I'm really hoping that these five movies will stay true to the source material.

1. Divergent by Veronica Roth

Why Should You Read it?

Having been hailed as “the next Hunger Games“ Divergent is the first book in a trilogy taking place in post-apocalyptic Chicago. Society has become five factions, Erudite (the intelligent), Amity (the peaceful), Candor (the honest), Dauntless (the brave), and Abnegation (the selfless). On your 16th year, you choose which faction you wish to continue living in or move to and proceed to go through initiation to see where you belong within that faction.

Divergent centers around Beatrice as she exits the world of Abnegation for the thrilling and danger-filled world of Dauntless where she then becomes known as Tris. The movie stars Shailene Woodley as Tris, Kate Winslet, Zoë Kravitz, Theo James, and many other big names.
