Customers completing HeLP courses have found them to be highly user-friendly and interactive, making learning interesting and fun. Furthermore, since courses are modular, this has enabled users to complete their training at a time and pace that suits their work patterns. All HeLP courses are developed and written by subject matter experts within HORIBA UK and tailored specifically to the needs of the organisation, be it an NHS Trust, private healthcare group or university research group, and the staff to be trained. For example, non-laboratory specialists, e.g. doctors, nurses and healthcare assistants, now frequently use haematology systems, such as HORIBA’s ABX Micros ES60 haematology analyser (http://www.horiba.com/ Ranging from ‘Beginners Guides’ to haematology and instrumentation, through to refresher training for laboratory experts, HeLP courses are a unique off-site service designed to fully complement and integrate with existing training programmes. The web-based training courses have CPD accreditation from the IBMS so upon the successful completion of one of the haematology or clinical chemistry focused e-learning courses, the CPD code will be printed on the final certificate. Participants can then enter this code onto their personal on-line portfolio as proof of learning. The new e-Learning brochure is available to download at: http://www.horiba.com/ End
