Recruitment staff go Wild over jobs
An English recruitment firm has seen record growth in a sign that the economy is picking up.
April figures for Portsmouth-based Wild Recruitment showed an astonishing 47 per cent increase on the same month in 2012.
Not only are these results good for Wild, but they are an indication that the local economy is becoming healthier, and businesses more confident.
And the success of Wild has meant bringing in staff of its own, with three new recruits already this year.
The team has been bolstered by the appointments of Kate Foley as Business Development Manager, Rebecca Twinam in the driving division and Sophie Arnold in the commercial sector.
Since the beginning of the year, the company has seen rapid month-on-month growth.
From March to April Wild, which employs more than 20 staff, recorded an astonishing 76 per cent increase in business.
Managing Director Michelle Stewart said: “These results don’t happen by accident, but because we have a very hard-working team.
“Everyone has pulled together and we’ve recruited new staff to help us build on what we have so that we can continue to grow.
“Earlier this year we launched our driving division, which has expanded rapidly, but we’ve seen impressive figures from across the board, culminating in our record month.
“We’ve also recruited three new staff this year, including Kate Foley who has worked from Portsmouth to Poole in her 17 years in the industry.
“We’ve also added Rebecca Twinam to the driving division and Sophie Arnold is specialising in permanent placements in the commercial sector.
“Being a recruitment company, we have to get appointments to our own team right – and I’m happy to report that we’ve done just that by bringing in Kate, Rebecca and Sophie.
“Due to projected further growth we are still looking for more people to grow our team.
“The employment trends that we’ve noticed should give real encouragement to the local economy.”
