Capital One Bank Partners with The Heart of America Foundation® Investment in Literacy at LAYC

WASHINGTON - June 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Latin American Youth Center (LAYC) will celebrate the renovation of its new READesign® Library on July 9.  Through a generous grant from Capital One Bank, The Heart of America Foundation’s READesign® team will work to provide LAYC with age-appropriate reading material for students.  Over 15 Capital One Bank volunteers will work at the school to complete the library – from decorating and assembling furniture to sorting and stocking books. In addition to the more than 800 books provided for the library, which include 75 financial literacy-themed books, Capital One Bank will donate three books for each student to begin building his or her own home library. Capital One Bank will announce the total number of books collected at the LAYC ribbon-cutting and unveiling.
