Accelerated School Administrator Program approved for Pennsylvania Inspired Leadership program

HARRISBURG, Pa. - June 26, 2013 - PRLog -- The Accelerated School Administrator Program (ASAP) from Qumark Global Solutions is now certified to provide 300 continuing education hours to participants in Pennsylvania's Inspired Leadership Program (PIL) under Act 45.

The Pennsylvania Inspired Leadership Review Committee approved ASAP® for a three year period from May 30, 2013 to May 31, 2016.

The Pennsylvania Inspired Leadership Program is a statewide, standards-based continuing professional education program for school leaders. Cohort-based, the program is focused on developing the capacity of leaders to improve student achievement. Along with existing PIL course schedules by region, approved courses such as ASAP® are the only programs that will count towards completion of PIL requirements.

The first ASAP® client partnership in Pennsylvania has been Spring-Ford Area School District, where a systematic and outcomes-focused approach to learning and professional development has been in place since 2012. The Accelerated School Administrator Program originated in Florida in 2001 as a state-of-the-art individualized eLearning opportunity for aspiring and existing school principals. Combining online prescriptive and standards-based assessments with simulations and interactive multi-media learning that can be blended with district-based PD course content ASAP® has been a pioneer at the forefront of blended learning for preK-12 school principal professional development cohorts.

Along with Pennsylvania, ASAP® is also offered as a complete leadership program through client, district and department of education partners in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, California, Michigan, and Mississippi. ASAP® program content is available across the country to individual learners seeking continuing education credit and ASAP® simulators and assessments have been used in almost every state to provide rich, Internet based multi-media learning to newly promoted and experienced school leaders alike.
