MASON, Ohio - June 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Karaoke World Championships USA is proud to support the efforts of Veteran's Entertainment Troupe volunteers made exclusively of participants from the Karaoke World Championships competition.

The Veteran Entertainment Troupe has been chosen to provide entertainment for the National Wheelchair Games (http://www.va.gov/opa/speceven/wcg/docs/event.asp) being held in Tampa, Fl this year. V.E.T. is sponsored by O'Brien's Irish Pub & Family Restaurants in Brandon, Plant City & Tampa and Idol Karaoke in association with Karaoke World Championships USA. Veteran Entertainment Group consists of local volunteer singers and finalist from the Karaoke World Championships USA (http://www.kwcusa.net/) competition being produced by Idol Karaoke and currently being held at O'Brien's Irish Pubs in Brandon, Florida. Thanks to the amazing talent that has been provided by the V.E.T. volunteers at James A Haley VA Hospital in the past, Idol Karaoke is extremely proud to have been selected for the privilege to honor those who have sacrificed so much for democracy and the citizens of the United States. Idol Karaoke and KWCUSA wish to thank Sean Rice Bernie O'Brien and Mike (http://www.kwcusa.net/) Goodwin, owners of O'Brien's Irish Pubs, for their continued support of V.E.T. and the servicemen of the United States Armed Forces.

The presenters of this event are committed to improving the quality of life for veterans with disabilities and fostering better health through sports competition. While past Games have produced a number of national and world-class champions, the Games also provide opportunities for newly-disabled veterans to gain sports skills and be exposed to other wheelchair athletes. Typically, one quarter of the competitors have never before participated in any type of organized wheelchair sports competition.

Competitive events at the National Veterans Wheelchair Games include air guns, archery, basketball, bowling, field events, handcycling, a motorized wheelchair rally, nine-ball, power soccer, quad rugby, slalom, softball, swimming, table tennis, track, trapshooting and weightlifting Athletes compete in all events against others with similar athletic ability, competitive experience or age.

Robert Humphrey of Idol Karaoke (http://www.idolkaraoke.com/) is the KWCUSA Florida state director and has been a great representative for the competition . Robert also worked with KWCUSA in Texas prior to his move to Florida. The competition continues in Florida at O’Brien’s Irish Pub and more venues are welcome.
