R. Seelaus & Co. comes together to support the 2nd Battalion 8th Marines.

SUMMIT, N.J. - June 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Firm employees contributed approximately 200lbs of care-package supplies, everything ranging from shampoo to beef jerky, writing supplies, magazines and fresh T-Shirts.  Children of firm members also included 30 cards and letters thanking the troops for their service.  

A Veteran himself, Founder and President Richard Seelaus was naturally enthusiastic about organizing the effort.  “We encourage our employees to be active in the community. When Arjan mentioned this project it was something we wanted to do on so many levels.  We were given the chance to show our appreciation to our service men and women in general, and on a personal note, to support Arjan’s brother who is in Afghanistan.”

LCPL Neemah Roghanchi, younger brother of Senior Vice President, Arjan Roghanchi arrived in Afghanistan this past April for his second tour of duty with his Marine Battalion.  LCPL Roghanchi joined the Marines at age 22, and has been serving for three years.  He and his wife are expecting their first child in December.

“I just felt that as a firm, we have done a great job getting involved and giving back,” said Arjan, “and this would be another opportunity to do so.  It means so much to my brother and his fellow marines to get stuff from home.  They truly appreciate it.”
