Chilean Patagonia Lands in USA

June 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Tuesday, June 25 (Santiago, Chile) -- The National Tourism Board of Chile (SERNATUR) and Magallanes & Antarctic regional members finalized a long tour training local tour operators, travel agents and other professionals in the field of tourism in the United States this month.

The events were exclusive to the tourism-trade and they took place in the Time and Life Building in New York on June 3, and in the Hyatt Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco, on June 5, 2013.

The informative breakfast presentations were followed by a roundtable session hosted by several representatives of Chilean companies and the members of SERNATUR. There was a prize giveaway as well, and the attendees received a certificate upon completion of the training.

Magallanes & Antarctica is the largest and southern-most region in Chile; however, it is the second-least populated area in the country. It has some of the nation’s most stunning landscapes, including: Torres del Paine, Cape Horn, Tierra del Fuego, the Straight of Magellan and Antarctica.

The destination is a base for adventure-seekers to live out some of the most exhilarating experiences on the planet. Hiking, ice-trekking, glacier gazing, mountain climbing, kayaking, biking, penguin spotting, are some of the activities that visitors can experience in this wild part of the world.
