WUSA9 Partners with Call For Action to Help Viewers Get Action

WASHINGTON - June 25, 2013 - PRLog -- WASHINGTON, DC— WUSA9 has launched a new partnership designed to provide DC area residents with free consumer mediation services.  In an exclusive partnership with Call For Action, WUSA 9 will empower viewers with a voice larger than their own when it comes to consumer problems.

The new WUSA 9 partnership features a hotline and website to track the concerns of the community. The partnership keeps WUSA 9 closely attuned to consumers’ interests and will be used to highlight the stories of concern to the community. Call For Action, a non-profit network of consumer hotlines, is focused on listening to and solving the complaints of individuals and small businesses. WUSA 9’s anchor Lesli Foster, who heads the WUSA 9 Call For Action project for the station said, "We are excited to launch this new partnership with the successful Call For Action non-profit organization. In addition to important and useful consumer assistance, WUSA 9‘s Call For Action is now accepting volunteers from the local community to be a part of this innovative and exciting program.  Call For Action provides the training needed to serve as a consumer mediator.
