June 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Modish Living (http://www.modishliving.co.uk/), a small Brighton based company, launches their website to offer high quality reclaimed wood furniture, handmade here in the UK.  

Working with a team of carpenters, they build wood furniture from old rescued timber joist which are found in barns, factories and old houses.  Both Hellen Barlow (http://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=111715525&trk=nav_responsive_tab_profile) and Chris Barlow (http://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=41078395&authType=NAME_SEARCH&authToken=p-BI&locale=en_US&srchid=1117155251371636503406&srchindex=1&srchtotal=525&trk=vsrp_people_res_name&trkInfo=VSRPsearchId%3A1117155251371636503406%2CVSRPtargetId%3A41078395%2CVSRPcmpt%3Aprimary), Co-founders of Modish Living (http://www.modishliving.co.uk/), have a passion for working with wood, finding ways to reuse materials wherever possible, thus avoid waste.  The couple, who were formerly a Senior Account Manager at Usablenet (http://www.usablenet.com/), and a Teacher at a Brighton based school, recently pulled their resources and energy together to start their passion and dream, a business around creating stunning high quality wood furniture for around the home and within the hospitality sector, using reclaimed materials.  

To reduce their carbon footprint, they source their wood from around the UK, using timber which ranges from 50-200 years old, thus offering history and character to each piece made.
