The WBEC-GL Indiana office will feature corporate matchmakers, certification for women-business enterprises and training. Already, the office has hosted several events including a Corporate Luncheon and certification orientation for prospective women business owners. Certification Orientations are hosted bi-monthly by OmniSource Marketing, 8945 N Meridian, Ste. 150, Indianapolis, IN 46260. The cost is $25. Interested attendees can register at www.miceed.org. “The certification orientation is a great opportunity for women business owners to learn in detail about the National Women’s Business Enterprise certification application process and ways that it can benefit them. They will have access to an expert that can help them understand and navigate through the application process in order to avoid costly mistakes and delays.” says Michelle House, WBEC-Great Lakes Indiana Certification Program Manager. In addition to Certification Orientations, CEED also provides numerous resources to WBEs including events such as Corporate Connections and the Annual Great Lakes Women’s Business Conference scheduled for September 24-25 in Michigan. Through the WBEC - GL, corporations and government purchasing programs are helping to bridge the gap in contracting activities between women business enterprises and corporate government buyers. WBEC-GL has an extensive network of corporate supplier diversity contacts and works to match product/services needs to certified women business owners. ABOUT CEED CEED (www.miceed.org) End
