Califia Farms Commits to Replacing Carrageenan in all Products

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - June 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Bakersfield, Calif. – In recent months, there has been an increasing amount of concern about Carageenan among natural products consumers. Califia Farms is committed to providing better beverages to health-minded consumers and has ensured that all of its products are GMO-Free, Kosher, Gluten-Free and Vegan. Because carrageenan is naturally derived from seaweed, Califia and most natural and organic food companies have always viewed this material as safe. Carrageenan has been reviewed on three occasions over the past 20 years by the National Organic Standards Board – most recently in 2012 – and deemed safe and appropriate for use in organic foods.
