Follow on Google News | Award winning Welsh poet to read at the Dylan Thomas CentreAward winning Welsh poet Jemma King is to read at Swansea’s Dylan Thomas Centre on Thursday 27 June.
By: City and County of Swansea Jemma who won the prestigious Terry Hetherington Award in 2011 will read from her new collection ‘The Shape of a Forest’, which has been published by Parthian. Jo Furber, Swansea Council’s Literature Officer said “Jemma’s new collection has been described as haunting, distinctive and sensual. “It certainly is a sophisticated debut that offers a powerful survey of life and human experience”. Jemma L King currently teaches literature and creative writing at Aberystwyth University where she also completed her doctoral thesis. Jemma has seen her creative and academic work published internationally. Tickets are £4, £2.80 concessions and £1.60, PTL.
