Launched during March’s Budget announcement, this new government-backed scheme is already bringing a new ray of hope to first-time buyers and those looking for that next step up the housing ladder.

Help to Buy is open to all house-hunters and works with just a five-per-cent deposit, which is needed by the purchaser. The government provides a 20-per-cent equity loan, which is interest free for the first five years. After this period, a modest 1.75-per-cent annual fee is added*.
