Follow on Google News | Nonprofit Leaders and HR Responsibles are Invited to Connect and Learn From Each OtherNonprofit sector gets closer to Europe 2020 objectives with the launch of HR Twinning, a European good practices sharing for nonprofit organizations.
The exchange of good practices and networking is a top priority of the Europe 2020 Strategy of the European Union. However, the European nonprofit sector is currently lacking the tools needed to achieve wide-scale accessibility and impact. As nonprofits are increasingly becoming knowledge-based and are depending more and more on people, it is now critical for those organizations to improve their people managing skills. This can be easily achieved by being able to learn from similar organizations from Europe who managed to find solutions to problems they are facing now. HR Twinning aims to become that tool for the nonprofit sector in Europe. HR Twinning offers its community members the possibility to share their HR and leadership good practices and to engage in discussions on a large array of topics related to the main theme. In time the HR Twinning good practices library can become a major reference point for nonprofit organizations throughout Europe, as a source of free and accessible knowledge for improving performance and efficiency. Membership is offered for free to individuals, who can also enroll their organizations also free-of-charge. All content is curated by HR specialists from the project`s team. In order to celebrate the platform`s launch there is also a contest going called #PracticeSharing Summer Challenge, which will award the most active contributors and most innovative solutions proposed on relevant topics with award-winning books. Prizes will be offered by the largest foreign-languages bookstore from Romania, Books Express. Complete details about HR Twinning can be found on its website at www.hrtwinning.eu . HR Twinning is financed by the European Commission through the Youth in Action Programme. Its first phase was an international seminar held in November 2012 in Bucharest, Romania, with 35 participants from 6 countries. The platform is the second phase of the project, which will be completed by publishing a good practices guide every year with the best content of the website. End
