Now Alive with Clive Is a Vital Voice on TV for Today’s Top Singer/Songwriters

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. - June 21, 2013 - PRLog -- There is no doubt that shows like American Idol, The X Factor and The Voice give music fans all over the world the opportunity to discover talented singers and singer/songwriters who would otherwise live in obscurity.  And many believe that the only way for talented singer/songwriters aspiring for greatness to become known quickly is to appear on these shows and perform songs other than their own.  But Alive with Clive, a blossoming TV show that can be seen at http://alivewithclive.tv/blog and is dedicated to shining the spotlight on the world’s most talented emerging and established singer/songwriters, is now a vital voice on TV for today’s top singer/songwriters who perform their own original songs.  

Each week Alive with Clive features a singer/songwriter who, with rare exceptions, plays the guitar or keyboard, and since 2007 more than 200 singer/songwriters from the United States, the United Kingdom and several other countries have performed only their own original songs on the show.

“In this age of computerized techno-electronic sound creation and lip syncing,” says Clive Swersky, Host and Producer of the show, “what makes Alive with Clive unique is that singer/songwriters who appear on the show have the courage to demonstrate their singing and songwriting prowess ‘unplugged,’ and so viewers get to experience their true authentic skill, talent, passion and self-expression on the show, without any distractions.”

To date, over 400 clips from Alive with Clive have been seen over 83,000 times on The Alive with Clive TV Channel on YouTube, which currently has more than 80 subscribers, and more clips are being added each week.

To attract music lovers to the show in a synergistic manner, Clive recently launched a series of bimonthly contests with prizes provided by members of The Alive with Clive Global Community, a global community he has established online to enable companies, charities, colleges, radio stations, singer/songwriters and members of the community to interact.

Corporate sponsors are being sought for these contests and a portion of the funds received from sponsors will be contributed to charities that encourage the highest number of supporters to enter each contest.  For the inaugural contest, Clive will collaborate with the charity that obtains the most votes, from those who enter the contest, to organize and promote a benefit concert featuring singer/songwriters who’ve appeared on Alive with Clive, to raise funds for the charity.

In addition, the college that receives the most votes in the inaugural contest will receive a $1,000 two-hour Live Your Passion concert/workshop from Anne-Margaret Redding, the founder of The Giving Tree Yoga Studio in Astoria, New York, who has also provided a month of free yoga at her yoga studio as a prize for the inaugural contest.

The other prizes so far consist of a $100 set of four Alive with Clive Mugs from The Alive with Clive Gift Store; a $300 discount on a fully-branded Web site from Web site developer, Grassroots Consulting; a $250 one-hour professional photo-shoot from Studio7-NYC Photography; a handcrafted necklace and matching bracelet worth $120 made of semi-precious gemstones from BeadZbyRoZ; and a one-hour in-home or office stress-relieving massage from New York-based licensed massage therapist, Kathy Branch.  Only one winner will win all the prizes.

Clive is also hoping to announce the winner of the contest, as well as the winning charity and college, on the radio station that is most popular among those who enter the contest.
